SEA FOAM
A Bespoke Sculptural Suspension

For Marcus at Baha Mar, Bahamas

In this luminous bar room designed by Meyer Davis, a floating, monumental composition by Céline Wright unfolds in quiet motion. Crafted entirely from washi paper, the custom light fixture drifts like a suspended seascape — its form inspired by shells, tides, and the surrounding Bahamian horizon.

The extraordinary scale of this bespoke piece is made possible by the unique nature of washi paper: exceptionally light, yet remarkably strong. This rare balance allows Céline Wright to conceive large, airy volumes that appear to defy gravity.

Each custom project begins with an in-depth study. Céline first develops a scaled model, refining proportions and movement until the dialogue between space, light, and material feels exact. Once the case study is complete, she hand-shapes molds that guide the washi paper into its final form — a slow, deliberate process culminating in a breathtaking, sculptural presence.

A work where craftsmanship meets poetry, and light becomes a living element.
