Liquides Imaginaires —
Milan Design Week
On the occasion of Milan Design Week, Philippe Di Méo, Artistic Director of Liquides Imaginaires, invited Laurentine Perilhou to collaborate on an immersive installation unveiling a new citrus-based fragrance collection at the iconic Galerie Rossana Orlandi.
Facing the garden at the gallery’s entrance stood an inverted lemon tree, rising nearly 98 inches high (2.5 m), created jointly by Laurentine Périlhou’s atelier and basket maker Audrey Bruneau. Beneath it, nine dreamlike pieces evoked imaginary citrus fruits, echoing the theme of the collection.
Each fragrance was interpreted through vibrant, living forms—hybrid fruits composed of embroidered flowers and pearls. These neo-citrus creations blurred the boundaries between art and perfume, recalling both the Garden of the Hesperides and a fantastical garden of delights.
This exceptional collaboration offered an immersive, multi-sensory experience where scent and object became inseparable.
